The exterior
The pool area and sun terraces at Villa Mimosa are south-facing – perfect for life in the sun. The pool, which can be heated (charges apply), is 10 x 4m and ranges in depth from 1m to 2.20m.
Poolside, there is ample room for sun loungers, an outside dining area with gas BBQ and an outside lounge area. There are steps from the pool area to the sun terrace off the living and dining room. This terrace can be gated, restricting access to the pool.
The living areas
Inside at Villa Mimosa, there is an open plan living and dining room, with flat screen TV with Lazer TV offering a range of UK and international channels. There is a DVD player, Wi-Fi and air conditioning here, as well as sliding doors that lead to the sunny balcony.
There is also a PlayStation 2 and a Wii for the kids to enjoy. The dining room, with seating for 8, is next to the open plan kitchen which is well-equipped and modern. There is an adjacent laundry room and access from the kitchen to the poolside area.
The bedrooms
There are 4 bedrooms in total at Villa Mimosa – all are air conditioned and all are en-suite. On the ground floor, there are 2 double rooms. Both are en-suite – one en-suite has a bath with integrated shower and one has a shower.
There are 2 further bedrooms on the first floor – the master suite and a twin room. The master suite has a TV and private sun balcony. The en-suite has a bath and a separate shower. The twin room also has a private balcony and the en-suite bathroom has a bath with an integrated shower.
About the area
From Varandas do Lago, within a 5-minute drive you can enjoy a fabulous meal at the following restaurants – Alambique, Bamboo. Also very close to the beaches of Praia do Ancão and Praia do Garrão and the restaurants – Julia’s, Izzy’s, António Tá Certo, Fins, 2 Passos, The Bold Octopus.
There are famous golf courses a short distance away, in the nearby Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo
